Children’s dentistry

A patient approach and carefree first steps towards a healthy smile.

We believe a child’s first contact with the dentist shapes their attitude to oral health for good. That is why our work with the youngest is above all educational: full of patience and warmth, explaining every step through play, so that any fear disappears.

We focus on prevention: fissure sealing and fluoride treatment protect young teeth from decay. At the same time, we treat milk teeth meticulously, because their health is an absolute precondition for the proper development of the jaw and for room for the permanent teeth to come.

What we do with the youngest

First visits are about getting acquainted: the child sits in the chair, we look at everything together and nothing has to hurt. Then come regular check-ups, fillings on milk and permanent teeth, fissure sealing as protection against decay, and advice to parents about habits and hygiene.

Why milk teeth matter

Milk teeth hold space for the permanent teeth and play a part in the development of speech and the jaws. Decay in a milk tooth is not harmless and is treated, because losing a milk tooth too early can disturb the eruption of the permanent one.

Common questions

When should a child first visit the dentist?

Ideally around the first birthday, as soon as the first teeth erupt, even just to look around. Children who start early as a rule never develop fear.

What if my child is afraid?

We do not rush. The first visit can be just looking around, and trust is built visit by visit. This practice has nurtured that approach for three decades.
