Teeth whitening

A safe, controlled refresh of your teeth’s natural whiteness.

Bringing the brightness back to a smile is a routine procedure today, but it must be done only under strict medical supervision, so that the structure and integrity of the enamel are preserved.

At our practice we use only certified, clinically proven whitening systems. We offer controlled in-office whitening as well as precise custom trays for safe home whitening. Before every treatment we carry out a thorough examination to make sure your teeth and gums are completely healthy and ready for the procedure.

What the treatment looks like

The treatment begins with an examination: we check that the teeth and gums are healthy and remove calculus and deposits, because shade is only judged on clean teeth. Then the whitening itself is performed, and you receive instructions on making the result last as long as possible.

It is important to know that fillings and crowns do not whiten. If you have them in the visible zone, we plan so that everything is even in the end, which sometimes means replacing an old filling with a new, lighter one after whitening.

Common questions

Does whitening damage the enamel?

Under a dentist’s supervision and with proven agents it does not. Temporary tooth sensitivity after the treatment is possible and expected.

How long does the result last?

From one to several years, depending on habits: coffee, tea and smoking shorten the effect. The treatment can be safely repeated.
