Orthodontics
Correcting the bite for perfect function and aesthetics.
Straight teeth are not purely an aesthetic matter. They are a precondition for proper chewing, an even load on the jaw joints and the prevention of gum disease, which follows when crowded teeth cannot be cleaned properly.
We provide orthodontic treatment for children and adults, adapting the method to each patient’s individual medical needs. Fixed orthodontic appliances, removable appliances or modern “invisible” aligners allow us to move your teeth safely and gradually into their optimal anatomical position.
For children and adults
In children, irregularities are easiest to correct while the jaws are still growing, so the first orthodontic check-up is best done around the start of school. In adults, orthodontics most often precedes prosthodontics: a tooth in the correct position carries a crown or a bridge more predictably and for longer.
Appliances and clear aligners
Depending on age and the type of irregularity, treatment is carried out with removable appliances worn on an agreed schedule or with fixed appliances that move the teeth continuously. Where the irregularity allows, teeth can also be straightened with clear aligners, which are almost unnoticeable in everyday life. You receive the treatment plan, its duration and the price after an examination and X-ray analysis.
Common questions
When should a child first see an orthodontist?
Around six to seven years of age, when the first permanent teeth erupt. An irregularity noticed early is the easiest to correct.
Is it too late for adults?
No. Teeth move at any age, and in adults orthodontics often precedes prosthetic work and raises its quality.
